MAY 2005

Well, we finally moved back home... not 'til the very end of the month though.  We've been away from home almost 3 months.  Whilst we are grateful to my Mum & Dad for having us, it's really good to be back.  Plus, I think Callum was ready for returning home.  Whenever we would visit our house, he would get excited and run around like mad, but he was starting to settle into my Mum & Dad's too much.  It was time to move back for his sake as much as ours.  There's still lots to be done, but it's habitable.

No new teeth this month, it looks like his gums are getting a much needed rest.

Don't ask about the breastfeeding - nothing has changed.  Although I do now have a definite plan to stop; whether I like it or not!  Callum will be going to the caravan next month for 5/6 days with my folks... so this is a naturally good time to stop.  We will hopefully be apart for long enough for my milk to start drying up, so then I will have no choice but to stop.  I think having this break away from each other and then stopping is probably going to be the best way to achieve what was originally my New Year's Resolution!  I'm dreading it!!!

My Mum & Dad took Callum to the clinic to get him checked out.  He had a strange rash on his face.  The clinic advised that it was probably just a result of the tonsillitis that he had suffered recently and that it was probably nothing to worry about.  They gave us a few pointers of things to look out for and when we should consider further medical advice etc.  Whilst he was there they checked his weight.  He had gone up to 23lbs 11ozs - an increase since February of 2lbs 12ozs, we are much happier with this as it's a great step towards getting nearer what he should be for his age.

Well, I'd better go start putting things into the kitchen cupboards.

See ya,

Amanda
