JANUARY 2008 So, as the New Year settled in, we celebrated our friend, little Bradleigh's Birthday. He was two, can't believe he has grown so fast! We bought him a red metal pedal car, he was thrilled. He even wanted to sit in it to blow the candles out on his cake. I love seeing kids enjoying gifts. It kinda makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. We decided to have a trip down to Milton Keynes to see our family down there. I was gutted that Callum and I had to stay home when Shaun went down before Christmas, but still, Callum couldn't help being poorly. We had bought some lovely little shoes for Anna and Paul's baby and I couldn't wait to give them to the parent's-to-be as I knew they would adore them. Anna looked wonderful, I am soooo broody. So is Callum, he would love a baby brother or sister. Later in the month, when everything was back to normal, I was getting Callum ready for a night at Grandma & Grandad's one Wednesday night when I noticed a spot on the back of his neck. I remember fleetingly thinking to myself that it looked a little blister-like and decided to just keep an eye on it as it was only the one. Within a few days though, he was covered! The poor little thing had chicken pox. I have to say though, despite a temperature and feeling very itchy, he wasn't poorly with it. He was very good at trying not to scratch them and helped us dab on the calamine lotion. He obviously thought it was called Callum-mine lotion though because he asked if I would have to buy some Mummy-mine lotion if I caught his spots!! Bless him!!! At the end of the month we all went out for a meal to celebrate my Mum & Dad's 41st Wedding Anniversary. Take care, Amanda xXx
