MARCH 2007 Callum’s cough and cold was still very up and down this month. One day it seems to have gone, the next he is off-it again. Nothing serious I know, but still it natters me when it lingers for so long. Our niece Anna Marie was up from Milton Keynes this month, her work means that she is often away from home, and luckily for us she was working in our home town for a few days. It was great to see her. Callum loves her so much. We went out to a Chinese Restaurant for tea one evening, it was the first time we had taken Callum there, we knew he wouldn’t eat much, but we wanted him to get used to going to such places. He was so well behaved, and had the time of his life eating the ice cream at the end. He got a fit of the giggles and had us all in stitches! He was a little disappointed thought o learn that the man at a nearby table was not Paul, Anna’s husband… Callum was missing him so much, he is used to seeing them both together. We reassured him that he would see Paul next month when he came up with Anna Marie for his Daddy’s birthday party. Shaun also worked away from home for a while this month. Was supposed to be for a week, but they got finished a day or so early. Callum really did miss him and was all loved up with him when he got home. Me and Callum had a really good day out in Leeds while Shaun was away. We went on the train and then played near the fountains in City Square. As we walked past BHS he saw the food signs and said he wanted to go in there for his lunch… so, we did. We had a lovely relaxed meal and then had a drink and a biscuit on the comfy sofa. Callum was so shattered, but was fantastically behaved. He looked so grown up and relaxed on the sofa… check out the Photo Gallery for a picture. It really was like being out with a best friend; we had such fun and no tensions or tantrums. This was Callum’s last full month at Bright Sparks, after which there would be the 2 week Easter Break, then he would get to go for one more week before starting Nursery. So, I was pleased that a photography firm were going to be available at the pre-school for a few days. Not the school photographer, but a Company that takes proper portraits. The prices were more than reasonable, so I wasn’t expecting too much, certainly nothing on a par with the photo’s we had done by Venture in November. I wasn’t there when they were taken so I had no idea what to expect, but when we went for the viewing we were pleasantly surprised. There were 9 pictures, most of which we liked, so we bought the full package. When they came I was a little disappointed with the photo paper, it wasn’t as thick as I would have liked, and it was a little too glossy, but, given how little they cost we did not complain, especially since they also gave us a CD with the images on, and permission to reproduce them. Very few photographers are so quick to give you permission to copy/reproduce their work. Check out some of the pictures in the Photo Gallery. At the end of the month, we all got to get dressed up to go to Laura’s 18th Birthday Party. She was having it at Squire’s in Sherburn and wanted a prom theme… so there was an evening dress code. We all went, although Callum only stayed for a few hours before heading off to Grandma and Grandad’s for the night while we partied until much later on. He was really well behaved though and looked super smart in his suit. See how well we all scrubbed up in the Photo Gallery. It was a really good night, although Laura doesn’t remember much! Well, better go get on with the final plans for Shaun’s 40th Birthday Party… ‘til next time. Amanda & Co. xXx
