NOVEMBER 2006
I can’t believe our boy is 3!!! Time is flying so quickly. We didn’t have a big party this year, instead we combined it with the fireworks evening that we usually have at my parents house. It was just us three plus my Mum & Dad, Luke & Andy and Luke’s friend Kimberley. Still it was a good night, and Callum had lots of fun. Once again he was spoilt rotten with all the pressies family and friends lavished on him… he’s a very lucky boy and our thanks go to one and all. Our friend Joe turned 30 the day before Callum was three, and they had a celebratory bash a couple of days later. It was a good night…. Best wishes again Joe! His wife, Dawn (Auntie Dawny) had her birthday in November too, but that passed a little quieter as it wasn’t really a ‘milestone’ birthday. November is a busy time for birthdays… Callum also got to go wish a happy birthday to our friend Rachel… she turned 12 on the 19th. As a family, we went to have our photo’s taken at Venture in Leeds. A few of us were very apprehensive, due to not really liking our pictures taken so much, but it turned out to be ok. They made us feel very relaxed and we ended up having a really good time. We can’t wait to see the finished results. Callum took his beloved Brum-like pedal car and we are sure they got some great shots of him in it. Callum actually got to see the real Brum this month. He was at the Christmas Lights switch on at the White Rose Shopping Centre. Although Callum didn’t get close to him, the fact that he could see him from his vantage point on his Daddy’s shoulders was enough. He was so giddy at seeing him. One of Shaun’s work friends, Paul, was having a bit of a clear out at home, and gave Shaun a big ride on digger for Callum – his own son had grown out of it. Talk about a Brucie-bonus for Callum. He thinks it’s great… check out the Photo Galleries! Thanks so much Paul, Callum is very grateful for it. Callum has been bogged down with a heavy cold a lot this month… much like everyone else at this time of year. Callum is now starting to look forward to Christmas. OK, so he is still too young to get the whole ‘Christmas’ thing, but the idea of Santa is starting to interest him. I’m not sure yet if we will get him to see Santa this year though… he can be very ‘iffy’ around people he does not know - nothing major, but shy-mode can kick in and he can start acting a little frustrated… normal for a kid of his age. I think we will just have to see how the whole Santa thing pans out this year and not build our hopes up too much. ‘til next time, Amanda xXx
